Teaching the Bible and learning about God, ourselves, and the world is what we do at Benton. Our Adult Education Program stands at the core of the mission of our church. The Winter Quarter has a wonderful line-up of classes to take. Have a look, and join the teaching and learning experience at Benton.

1. The Well - Back to the Future

Teacher: Pastor Dave Barker & Friends     Focus: Young Adults (single and married) Location: Church Library

How do we understand the Biblical teaching regarding future things? There are four main perspectives: Premillennial, Dispensationalism, Amillennialism, and Postmillennialism. Along with other topics, we will explore each of these. The class will be aided by a viedo to help us understand each of the positions and how we need to respond in belief and life in light of our Saviour's second coming.

2. LifeLINKS - The Second Coming of Christ

Teachers: Bert and Reta Martin     Focus: Adults Location: Lower Level Rm. B6 (past nursery)

Topics such as 'The Consummation of History', 'The Signs of the End Times', 'The Big Picture', 'Living with the End in Mind', and others will be presented and discussed. Once again these subjects are drawn from archives form the Chapel at Crosspoint and we will be enjoying solid biblical teaching from a variety of teachers. Following the conclusion of each presentation there'll be a discussion as time permits.

At LifeLINKS we want to be sensitive to the physical and spiritual needs of those attending. It is our desire to pray with and for each other as we walk the pathway of life together.

3. Acts of the Apostles - Chapters 1-28

Teacher: Arden Mertz     Focus: Adults Location: Main Floor Room 103

The Acts of the Apostles forms an inseparable continuation of the gospel account and establishes the basis for the Epistles. This verse-by-verse study will concentrate on the three primary, inter-twined components to this book:

• the coming and ministry of the Holy Spirit

• the establishment of the church

• the mission of evangelism and sanctification

4. Letters to a Young Leader

Teacher: Ted Robbins     Focus: Choir members, Ushers & Greeters and others free at this time

 Location: Choir Room

This class is looking at Paul's letters to Timothy and his advice to a young church leader. We can all learn from others and we are all leaders in some way. What are the principles of Christian leadership found in these letters and how we can apply them today.

5. Helping Your World Discover Jesus

Teacher: Allan Self     Focus: Adults Location: Reese Room

God could have chosen a thousand different ways to help others learn about him, but He decided to use regular people like us. There is an adventure before us but sometimes we don't know how or where to start. Together we will explore the Biblical foundation for evangelism, gaining vision and practical insights that will equip you to help your world discover Jesus.
