Young at Heart
The Young at Heart group for seniors meets at 10:00 AM on the second Thursday of each month (except July and August) in Benton's Fellowship Hall. We enjoy a variety of programs that include lively singing, devotional speakers, guest musicians, travelogues, missionary speakers, health practitioners, and others with topics of interest and concern to seniors. It's a great opportunity to meet new friends, enjoy fellowship, increase learning, and conclude the morning with a delicious dinner at noon.
Waterloo Active Living Clubs (W.A.L.C.)
W.A.L.C. provides an opportunity for seniors to enjoy appropriate aerobic exercise. This program is a joint effort of the Active Living Community Network of Waterloo Region and the Victorian Order of Nurses (V.O.N.) of Canada. Enthusiastic and active seniors meet every Wednesday morning at 10:00 am in the church gymnasium.
Sandhills is a not-for-profit seniors housing project established in 2001, sponsored by Benton Street Baptist Church and Historic St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Come and be part of this vibrant community - beautiful Victoria Park with its many events is within two blocks of Sandhills. Walking trails are nearby as are City Hall, churches, library, banks, St. Mary's and Grand River hospitals, community centre, theatres and bus depot.
